Specializing in our beautiful Canadian mountains, lakes, fields, beaches, trees & more, my work explores the tranquility and vastness of the land, with rich textures and depth using acrylics, oils and palette knives.
As a landscape painter, my goal is not just to recreate nature but to capture moments in its essence— its nuances and its moods. Using a palette knife allows me to work in layers, adding depth and texture to the surface of the canvas, while also imparting a sense of immediacy and energy. The angle of the knife and the weight of the paint allow me to portray the raw, untamed quality of the Canadian landscape.
The act of painting is a meditative one, where every layer of paint becomes a conversation between me and the environment. I approach each piece with the intention to not only recreate what I see but to infuse it with emotion—whether it’s the calm of a still lake or the power of distant mountains.
